Yesterday was Porter's first day of first grade. He is so excited to be back in school to learn "more reading". He has a fantastic teacher and out of the 25 or so students in his class, there are only 6 girls. He was most excited to see some of his old classmates for Kindergarten in there with him.Today Andrew got his cast off! He walks very gently, with a defini
te limp, but that's totally normal and I expect him to be keeping up with his brothers in no time. Today the boys were playing "Wipeout" and Zach was jumping off my bed, trying to jump past the mark Porter was making - which was about 10 feet away. I made Zach get off my bed, insisting that I had just had a cast taken off a boy and didn't want to end up with another one. Zach was mad at me for not letting him jump; and reassured me that if he did injure his leg and it hurt really bad he wouldn't cry.
Oh - and here is a picture of the hummingbird that visits us everyday. Now you know why I insisted on getting a nice camera with at least 8 megapixels...

Looks like you guys are keeping busy! What camera did you end up going with we are going to get one closer to Christmas time!! I am so in need of a new one!!!
I got a Canon Rebel XT. It's fabulous and I love it! I have yet to learn all the features, but it takes great pictures nonetheless! I got it from Adorama.com for a great deal. Check it out when you get to looking!

I say let the boy jump. It is your lot in life to have at least one boy in a cast. YOu are good at it. Accept it!
