Octo-dogs and shells

In an attempt to do something different, this is what we had for lunch today:

Click here for the recipe. It's one to feel good about; It has vegetables in it, and I made it with turkey dogs (which have 40% less fat than regular dogs). And you want to know the best part??

The boys ate it up!! Well, let me rephrase that. Porter ate it up. All he talked about the whole time was how cool it was to have an "Octopus" for lunch and how good it was. Zach ate some of the shells and the hotdog, Andrew asked me to cut his hotdog but then freaked out when it wasn't what he expected. But then again, it was naptime, so he's excused. I ate some and it was really good.

Anyways, It's one I will definitely make again.

You are just too funny! That looks so cool. Lunch time here is just throw and sandwhich together and add some fruit. So creative...

When we went to Disney Land last year, they served those at one of their princess dinners. We have been making octodogs ever since and my kids gobble them right up. So much fun!!!

That is an awesome presentation for a meal! I would love for you to join us--you'll leave us in the dust, but it would be a good challenge! If you want, I think we're getting together on Thursday morning, pretty early. I'll get in touch with Melanie and we can all meet and run once a week if you want!?? It would be a good goal to accomplish! sara
