Clifford the Big Red Dog

Last week my neighbor and I did the book fair at the elementary school. We had a family night on Wednesday and our big promotion item was that Clifford the Big Red Dog was going to be there! Now mind you, that just means that Scholastic sends us the Clifford costume and we find someone to dress up in it. Wednesday night came and my neighbors friends, who were supposed to come be Clifford, hadn't shown up yet. We had lots of kids there with their parents waiting to take a picture with Clifford, so I finally got convinced to put on the costume to appease everyone. The funny part was my kids didn't know it was me in the suit, so they were a little hesitant to come stand by me. Zach wouldn't come near me at all. It was pretty fun, except for the fact I was dripping sweat after 10 minutes in the thing. I spent about 30 minutes as Clifford before I had to get out and let someone else have a try.

Hey Steph, glad to hear that things went well. Good for you and your neighbor for putting that on. I bet that took hours. You look great in the costume! I once had to dress up as one of the fish for the summer swim lessons. It was disgusting!

You make a very cute big red dog. Too bad that Savvy wasn't there... she LOVES those people all dressed up. No fear at all.

You are such a good sport! I wish we could have made it, just to see you as Clifford! :)

I was the Easter Bunny 3 years in a row at work- it's so hot in those dang things! I can see you peeking in the eyes with Porter- so cute! Did you tell him it was you?

Great post Steph.

Quick side note for all you bloggers. Make sure you never click on links that people leave in your comments. (Like that second comment that says " See here"). Those are links, left by unfriendly people, that will embed viruses on your computer. Its best just to steer clear of those.

What I really want to know is if you're smiling in those pictures...

I love being able to watch the boys grow up through your blog! Can't wait to see you in May!
